Rebirthing, also known as Conscious Breathing, is a technique originally developed by Leonard Orr in the 1970s. It became well known in the succeeding decade through its use in Loving Relationship Training workshops.



The technique postulates that by learning to breathe consciously and fully results in a physical cleansing, and that the mental and emotional origins of tension can then be healed. While it was originally focussed on reliving the birth process, it is now concerned with addressing any unhealed life experiences.
